Adventurers

After School Adventurers (ages 4-11)

At T.R.O.T.R, we believe that children need to be outside and moving around, experiencing the routines of animals care, being introduced to skills like making mud pies and building forts. Best of all, we believe that children need to get dirty. Like life on a working farm, these classes and sessions take place rain or shine.  By working together to care for our animals, children learn the true meaning and importance of empathy which swiftly carries over to peer interactions. The ever-changing, natural environment presents endless opportunities for children to work together and problem solve as they approach projects such as building a new garden bed and planting seasonal produce to designing and creating a goat playground! They begin to develop a strong sense of self by exploring their independence, taking risks, overcoming challenges and navigating peer relationships.

Our Adventurer Program is designed for children to experience the great outdoors through intentional learning and discovery-based curriculum . Our After School Program runs 1 day a week for 8-weeks and is led by our Program Coordinator. In this program, they will learn naturalist skills, participate in physical education through scavenger hunts and games, work on farm and garden projects, and have fun with their friends.    This outdoor farm course encompasses essential elementary skills & learning activities through outdoor and farm experiences. Horseback riding not included but will be available for an additional fee.

$550/8-week session, meets Mondays from 3-6pm
